3/9/12 Chinese homework
Today I learnt and watched the video about china and
different types of language of Chinese as well
China is 3rd biggest country and 1st in asia
China’s size 9,598,000 km²
China is the world's third largest country based on area and
is the world's largest based on population. It is a developing nation with a
fast growing economy that is controlled politically by communist leadership.
Today, China is bordered by 14 different countries that
range from small nations such as Bhutan to very large ones like Russia and
India. The following is a list of the countries that border China. It is
ordered based on land area. Population (based on July 2010 estimates) and
capital cities have also been included for reference.
Largest Cities in China
Almost half of all Chinese live in urban areas today, and
the number is only expected to grow in the coming decades. According to some
predictions, it’s likely that almost 70% of Chinese will live in urban areas by
2035. Most of them as you can see from the map, are concentrated in the east of
China, often in coastal cities.

Hello Mr Yen!
Today in class I learnt some
new Chinese words and more about China's history and about how it's one of the
worlds largest countries and stuff. I also learnt that China has the world's
largest population and you told us some stuff about a Chinese emperor and why
China's history has lasted so long, and why Britain couldn't invade China.

Today in Chinese, I learnt how to set out my bookwork and
then we used the map and I learnt about the different places in China. I learnt
that the 长城
( chang cheng) is the wall that runs through China. 长江( chang jiang) is the longest river
in China. 长 （
chang） means long, which is why it is used in
these two words
I can apply what I leant today because when I travel to
China, I will know what places to visit. I will be able to know the names of
different places and go to the Great Wall of China.
