What have I learnt today?

 

• What  Nǐ shì zhūbājiè  means. I also learnt that it is a very dangerous word to use and that it could put me into a lot of trouble
• Wǒ xǐhuan qiǎokèlì
• Wǒ yǒuyī zhǐ gǒu

 

How can I apply this?

 

I applied this by talking to my Chinese friends, and they corrected my pronunciation.

Cindy’s Chinese Homework!

 

Today in Chinese I learnt that 我 从新西兰来 (Wǒ cóng xīnxīlán lái ) means ‘I come from New Zealand.

猪八戒 (Zhūbājiè ) is the name of a pig in a Chinese show and when you say 你是猪八戒,  you are actually insulting someone.  The pig looks like this:

I can apply what I learnt today by telling others where I am from, and also I can you the new phrase if I want to insult someone.

In yesterday's class I learnt lots. I learnt that on the MDBG website, if you type in a Sentence then it will break the whole sentence down and explain what each word is and means. I also learnt there is another great website called Voki.com. This website will be helpfully with learning how to speak/talk in Chinese. And it's fun to use!

In the Chinese class I learnt How to use Google Translate going form Chinese to Enlish and English to Chinese.

 

I also learnt about MDBG that will show me the order of writing Chinese.

Chinese Homework

 

What did I learn at Chinese Class today?

Today I learnt the word 去 (go) and the correct way of writing it. I also learnt how to say United States, long and dissection in Chinese.

 

 

How can I apply what I have learnt to help me to build up my Chinese?

Practicing saying it and looking back at notes. Put it into conducting movement and write Chinese characters many times so I remember the correct way to write it.
